The SquareRoute show finished on Saturday the 31st, thanks to all who came and saw the exhibition
It was an amazing mix of work and we are very proud to have shackled together under one roof some amazing artists.
Thanks as always goes out to the artists who supplied pieces for the show, giving us 300% commitment and support throughout the project.
Thanks to DJ Fingerprints and the Coca Cola Kid for once again blessing us with musical treats and for supporting us from day one, we appreciate it, much love!
Thanks also to Chris Plowman, website designer, photographer and film maker and all round technical guru
We are having a little break now for a few months but we will be back again in 2010 with more visual mind intrusions, thanks to all who have supported us in 2009 without your help and guidance none of this would have been possible
The only way to finish this update is with words inspired by the SquareRoute exhibition itself… pen has been put to paper and the name of each piece has been included in the lyrics below… kinda sums up the exhibition
Are you sitting comfortably? Well let me begin
As i Dance with the Devil in the city of sin
A Citysin of this Projected Broadcast
A palace of Police, prostitutes, Pigheads & Pornstars
Searching my Happy home for a Sample of Mars
Staring at a Square Hole for a glance at the stars
Camouflaged in the politicians font
The Man in the Text but You can call me anything you want
This is bear country with no clause for defeat
Arrived on the Nebula, must start a war to power the leave
The chances of survival have just doubled
The Tashenoo Twins tug of war for ownership of the troubled
Move ‘Im & ‘Er over the Silly Squares
Untitled game rules keep them pawns in the city scared
For the cheque, mate – prophet off the Comprehension Tension
On those who Binge think til they can’t string a sentence
And Receive music burnt On Mosaic Foil for Another Dance
Oh for the time, throat held by it’s 12 arms
Can I call you her name, the bad apple of mother nature’s fruit
Who walk their circle of life by the SquareRoute
Words by Booda French

Through funding secured from the very kind people at Ipswich Borough Council and Turnstone Lielow and sketch in conjunction with IP1 Magazine are putting on the exhibition not to be missed in 2009. Exposing the talents that lurk in the underbelly of Ipswich and Beyond!
10 selected artists are each producing three pieces of work based on any theme and in any medium to create a viewing experience second to none!! The theme of the exhibition has been kept as loose as possible to enable each artist to create work showcasing their unique styles and practices. It is sure to be a heady mix of styles and ideas; mixing it up in the exhibition we have illustrators, graffiti artists, painters, makers movers and shakers
The exhibition is being held at the Graham Oldham Artists Gallery in Ipswich, ours will be the first exhibition to be held there for almost 2 years, it is a great space and we would just like to thank Mr Graham for allowing us to make use of this space.
The exhibition will run from 6th June 2009 – 14th June 2009 with a private view evening being held on the 5th where we have been blessed with the DJ talents of DJ Fingerprint and The Coca-Cola Kid spinning Hip Hop, Funk and Soul, they have also agreed to produce a mix CD for us as a Soundtrack to the Exhibition… copies of which will be available to buy or even download!!! Watch this space!!!!
Add us to your favourites and keep checking for updates on the progress of the show, a confirmed list of artists and more and more and more….
Peace
